The best time to post is when the biggest share of your audience is scrolling — and that differs by platform, by the kind of people you reach and by where they live. This planner combines the 2025–2026 benchmark studies for each network with an audience profile, shows every hour of the week as a heat map and converts it to your own time zone so you can schedule without mental arithmetic.

    How this planner works

Each platform starts with a base heat map built from published engagement studies (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer and Later, 2025–2026): for example, Instagram peaks late morning on weekdays and mid-morning at weekends, TikTok on early mornings and evenings, LinkedIn on Tuesday–Thursday mornings, Pinterest in the late evening. The audience profile then adds or removes points — B2B pushes towards weekday office hours, Gen Z towards late evenings, parents towards after bedtime.

All benchmark times are in the audience's local time. When you switch to My time zone, the tool shifts the whole map by the difference between the audience zone and your browser's zone, including daylight-saving differences.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the best time to post on Instagram?

Across 2025–2026 studies, weekdays between 11 am and 1 pm in your audience's time zone perform best, with a second peak at 5–8 pm and a weekend window around 9 am–12 pm. Tuesday to Thursday are the strongest days.

What is the best time to post on TikTok?

Early mornings (6–10 am) and evenings (6–11 pm) are consistently strong; Tuesday 9 am, Thursday noon and Friday 5 pm show up as peaks in most studies. TikTok's feed is less time-sensitive than Instagram's, so consistency matters more than the exact hour.

Does the best time change with my niche?

Yes. B2B and professional content works in office hours, entertainment and lifestyle in the evening and at weekends, parenting content after 8 pm. Pick the closest audience profile and then verify with your own Insights.

How do I find my own best time?

Instagram Insights → Total followers → Most active times; TikTok Analytics → Followers → Follower activity; YouTube Studio → Audience → When your viewers are on YouTube. Compare those with this map and test for two weeks.

Should I post at the same time every day?

Consistency helps the algorithm and your audience's habits, but it is less important than posting when people are online and replying to comments in the first hour. Pick two or three of the top slots and stick to them.
